The Last Tomatoes of the Year
They don't look like much, one of them has a split on the side, the husks of dead leaves don't make for that pretty of a picture, but these are the My-Lynx Associates (or if you are shopping on eBay and Half.com: the Hi-Tech-And-Antique) tomato crop in November, and as can be noted from the tiny green one, they are still coming in. ere in Central Texas, at the border of the Hill Country, is very mild this time of year, the hot blasts and bright sunlight are now subdued, the leaves are starting to change color slightly. Technically it is Fall, but really it is a respite from the hot summer and the chilly winter, when the weather hovers between 70 and 80 degrees during the daytime. The air has been crisp and dry the last few days. The sun has moved lower in the sky and has that kind of muted tone that Autumn brings to the southwestern portion of the United States. Clint Eastwood says that as a director, this is his favorite time of the year to shoot his Western movies, the lighting is perfect in his way of thinking. And while in some parts of the country, the temperature is already winter-like at night, here we are enjoying what is probably some of the best days and nights of the year.

We have just re-posted a number of items, here is a relative handful below including a rare copy of a Clint Eastwood multimedia retrospective from the mid-90s. It was a big project at the time, introduced at a trendy event on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles with Eastwood himself in attendance, and was heralded as a groundbreaking project, so we offer it as a retro look at software at the time. It is a little dated by today's standards for zap-bam-powie type presentations, but if you are a dyed-in-the-wool Eastwood fan, it is a rare copy. The company that made it is reincarnated as a buy-out for a telecommunications firm, and last time we checked they were busy with ring-tones and mobile phone gizmos, not multimedia, so it shows how things change over time:
