We missed the episode when it ran, but we heard about it for years afterwards. In the 70s, there were no VCRs or DVDs so if you did not see it when it was on television, it was gone forever. Or you had to wait until it came on during the summer rerun season if you happened to be home.

David Lloyd, a writer for a number of noted shows passed away about this time last week, and one of the shows he was best remembered for was the Mary Tyler Moore episode about the funeral for the clown named Chuckles. Here is an excerpt from that show.
