New Symbol

We found this symbol on our keyboard, we changed it to the international characters and here was the Icelandic letter thorn - a single letter that represents a Th phoneme / dipthong / sound. It actually has its' own entry on the Wikipedia online encyclopedia.

Of course, it does not take much to get us excited. We found out that the crafty Internet denizens use it along with a colon to represent a tongue sticking out for an emoticon. We are not big fans of the emoticon, we have used one once this year already, and we felt self-conscious. We tried to make the thorn letter large for dramatic purposes. It is part of the Unicode character set, it is derived from an earlier rune, so it is like many common things, something ancient, even mysterious blended with something very modern.
