One of Our Longest Titles
We are busy watching and reading the news of the Icelandic volcano under the Eyjafjallajökull glacier. We are advising our European book subscribers to anticipate possible shipping delays, though we were unable to find updates on the U. S. Postage Service website. Some other shipping companies have indicated that there will be delays for the time being, and overland shipping is being considered for some shorter haul shipments. Our correspondents have indicated some slight dusting of ash in far Western Europe, close to the Irish Sea, and continued halting of air traffic over major European capitals, with the unexpected tranquility that the lack of air traffic brings to urban life.
We have something recently listed on the websites indicated on the right. It has perhaps one of the longest titles of the books we offer: The Geology and Paleontology of the Marine Pliocene of San Diego, California Part 1, Geology.
The book (we have just Part 1 of Volume II). It was co-authored by Ulysses S. Grant IV, the grandson of the Civil War General. It was printed in 1944, and it appears that the paper was not of the best quality, maybe it was due to the war years shortages, but it is an in-depth survey of the area. We have one of a few copies for sale. We have marked it as "acceptable" because of the yellowing of the pages, and some deterioration of the paper covers near the top of the spine. There are some photos available next to the details on the Amazon website description details for the My-Lynx Associates
