Summer is Here and so Is our June Moon Spoon Inventory List of Books!
Original entry published on 06/03/2010, this entry containing the store inventory listing of books has been moved. To make it easier for people to find we moved the book list of everything we sell on My-Lynx Associates, our online bookstore to a permanent web page of its own in October 2010.

It is not officially summer here in Central Texas yet, but the thermometer has had some brushes with the hundred-degree (Fahrenheit) mark several times. For you trendy Europeans, that would be 38 degrees, even 40 degrees Celsius, or as our associates say in Western Europe "blood temperature". And it will go up from there. So we get up early to do outdoor errands, and spend our afternoons with the blinds drawn shut dreaming of the melting polar icecaps. And some people date the beginning of the traditional Summer season with our local day of remembrance of the Armed Forces known as Memorial Day, which came earlier this week on May 31st. In days gone by, it was the fashion to wear white clothing only during the summer season.
Each month we update our list of inventory. People come from far and wide to review these titles in our My-Lynx Associates website inventory of mostly books with a few CDs and DVDs. The list is a useful reference source, since some of these books are hard to find or are out of print. They are also available on the websites we sell on to the right, but because of restrictions you may not find the book you are looking for on say Amazon or eBay or AbeBooks. But if you want to take a few minutes to sign in to our My-Lynx Associates website, you can be reasonably sure the book can be found there. We ship from Austin, Texas, and we check in nearly every day for our business online. If you have a question visit us at My-Lynx Associates or if you can decode our secret e-mail address below that we use to defeat the many automated spammers that try and sell us things you can send us a note at info (at sign) my-lynx-associates.com
We don't mind e-mail, but some people obviously have found that using e-mail addresses that they find at random on the internet is a way of making sales.
And while we realize that people have to make a living, we don't even know about some of the products that they are trying to sell us. They are obviously desirable by some people, but unless you are selling books (people do occasionally contact us about that), we don't necessarily want to do business with people selling retail products to the general public. We sell, as we said mostly books, to people on-line, mostly in the United States of America.
If you have a product or service to supplement that (and we don't mean SEO website blasters, where we can build up our traffic on the web magically and effortlessly). We have built our traffic on old-fashioned prose, generated by laborious typing of meaningful text, and our general observations about life in America in the early 21st Century. We are looking to build up a fan base, so feel free to leave your comments, they are often helpful. If you are reticent, please note that they show that people are interested in what is written, and help direct us to write entries that are useful, informative and even entertaining.
There is an e-mail address on the home page of the My-Lynx Associates website to contact us, we usually respond as quickly as possible, and we usually check in during the weekend and evenings as well. We mostly rest on Saturday afternoon and Sunday, because the Post Office closes in the early afternoon on Saturday. But most times we check in for orders on Sunday evening, since in the leisure world of on-line ordering that is a good time for our customers to shop.
We get our books ready for shipping on Sunday evenings for Monday, so it is not a strict sabbatical rest, it is subject to the demands of our customers, but wrapping a book in cardboard and paper is not exactly heavy lifting in the strictest sense of the word.
We hope to arrange something of a work Sabbath in the future, where we can reflect on matters non-materialistic, but we are still building our business, and we have not been able to select a particular day.
We hear in the Middle East, one group observes Friday, another Saturday, and still another Sunday. We would like to have a four-day work week if possible, and observe all three Sabbaths. That would depend on our customers however.
Hereis was the list of books, with a few CDs and DVDs, subject to prior sale, it gets updated monthly and moved from one place to another in the blog (to the top of the list), we delete the old entries as no longer useful. We usually provide a link at the top of the entry for the previous month to the new list, since the information will take a while to permeate through the Internet search engines.
